On May 19, an IB workshop for MCU Master’s students and participants from other educational institutions was held at the Institute of Digital Education. The lecturer was Ms. Irena Steblaj, certified IB trainer and director of Danila Kumar International School in Slovenia, which is the first school in Europe authorized for primary education within the IB framework.
During 3 sessions of the workshop the participants discussed the modern evaluation strategies of the IB primary education programs, the differences of approaches to evaluation of educational process and results, special aspects of working with students’ portfolios.
The workshop featured a common IB format: group work, case modelling, and creative tasks involving all of the participants, among which were teachers of the Moscow’s certified IB schools.
The Master’s program International Baccalaureate: Theory and Technologies has been offered at the Digital Education Department, Institute of Digital Education, since 2014. Alongside with the national diploma, the graduates of the program receive an international IB Educator Certificate that is recognized at all IB schools around the world.
The application for the program opens in June.
