The International Committee of the Red Cross has announced the results of the “Robots and International Humanitarian Law” essay contest. The participants of the contest have elaborated on the issues of regulating the use of robots during armed conflicts and analyzed the ethical aspects of using autonomous weapons.
Andrey Babich from the MCU’s Institute of Law and Management has won the “Best Student Paper” award in the Russian section. Andrey Babich is enrolled in the Master’s program “Legal Mechanisms of Child Rights Provision and Protection. Mediation.”
More than 100 lawyers, school teachers, university teaching staff, and students from Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine have participated in the contest in the sections in their native languages.
