On 22 April, the grand opening of the Moscow qualifying round of the 15th All‑Russian Student Competition “Chinese Bridge” took place at the Huaming Chinese Language Testing and Study Centre. The event was held under the motto “天下一家” (“One world, one family”), uniting participants with the idea of intercultural unity. A total of 23 students from various universities within the consular district of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Russian Federation took part in the Moscow stage.
One of the competition’s highlights was the performance of Sofia Sudarikova, a third‑year student in the “Asian and African Studies” programme at the Chinese Language Department of the Institute of Foreign Languages, MCU. She not only demonstrated excellent command of Chinese but also captivated the jury with a beautiful traditional Chinese fan dance. Following a series of contests, Sofia won an honorary 3rd place!
We congratulate Sofia on her well‑deserved victory and wish her every success in the final round of the Chinese Bridge competition, where the best experts on Chinese language and culture in Russia will compete.
