On February 12—14, the ice dance competition was held at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.
Victoria Sinitsina, a 2016 graduate of the MCU’s Institute of Natural Sciences and Sports Technologies, won the silver medal with her partner Nikita Katsalapov. They got a total score of 220.51 points with 88.85 points in the rhythm dance and 131.66 points in the free dance. This result is the pair’s season-best score.
Victoria Sinitsina shared her emotions about the medal:
It is everything for me. Everything that each athlete strives for is to come to the Olympics and win a medal. I am very proud of Nikita and me. We made it.
Earlier, Victoria Sinitsina became the Olympic champion in the team figure skating event as part of the Russian Olympic Committee team.
