On February 5, MCU welcomed a delegation of pupils and teachers from Huangshi High School in Hubei Province, PRC, for an introductory visit. Notably, all the students have already begun studying Russian and plan to apply to Russian universities in the future.
The meeting began with a welcoming speech and a presentation about the university, delivered by Daria Milyaeva, Head of the International Relations Department. She outlined MCU’s academic programmes, research opportunities and vibrant student life. She also highlighted the university’s successful cooperation with Chinese partners and the supportive conditions provided for international students.
The guests were then addressed by Ashot Dzhannumov, Head of the Department for Strategic Development. He spoke about the university’s participation in the large-scale Priority 2030 programme, which aims to strengthen scientific and educational potential and to create advanced conditions for students and researchers.
The delegation next toured the Fundamental Library, led by its director, Liliana Shelepova. The students were able to appreciate the extensive library collections and the modern reading rooms.
They also visited the MCU History Museum, guided by , Galina Chernykh, the Head of the Museum Complex. There, the students learned about the university’s history and the development of pedagogical education in Russia.
In the SMART classroom, Evgeny Shtol, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Services , demonstrated MCU’s innovative developments, including a digital mirror and AI personas, which are already actively used in the educational process.
At the end of the visit, the students toured the university campus and took a group photo as a keepsake.
MCU is interested in attracting motivated and talented international students. We are confident that this introductory visit left a strong impression on our guests and helped them better understand the opportunities for pursuing higher education in Russia.
