National Taitung University (NTTU), an MCU international partner in Taiwan, designed and opened an online course on Chinese for students from Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The classes of the course will be given by native Chinese speakers in October—December 2021.

On October 1, NTTU held an online opening ceremony of the course, which brought together the leadership, teaching staff, and students of the universities participating in the program. Moscow City University is only Russia’s university invited to join the program. At the ceremony, MCU was represented by Kirill Barannikov, Vice-Rector for strategy, Daria Milyaeva, Head of the International Relations Department, Valentina Vashkyavichus, Interim Head of the Chinese Language Department, and Professor Vladimir Kurdyumov, Chinese Language Department.

In their speeches, they pointed out that distance learning remained one of few opportunities for Chinese language students to undergo an internship in foreign universities. The speakers thanked NTTU for the opportunity, wished the students success, and expressed hope for further cooperation between the universities.
