On November 18, 2024, first-year students specialising in Law visited the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. During their visit to this highest legislative body, they participated in a training session on the discipline “Theory of State and Law,” which covered the topic “Lawmaking and Legal Education: Legal Technology.”
The visit left a lasting impression on the students. In addition to an engaging tour and unexpected encounters with prominent statesmen, they were particularly inspired by their meeting with Oleg Zemtsov, Senator of the Federation Council. The students and the senator discussed various topics, including their experiences as students and the significance of higher education. Senator Zemtsov also shared his personal reflections and professional insights from his work in the Federation Council.
During the meeting, Oleg Zemtsov presented a letter of appreciation to Elena Krupenya, Professor at the Department of Law of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law. The recognition honoured her active contribution to science, higher education, and the upbringing of the younger generation, in celebration of the Day of the Higher School Teacher and her 35 years of teaching in higher education.
