Modern technologies in Physical Education

On February 27, an educational event was held as part of the lecture series of the Research Center of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Sports Technologies at Moscow City University.

Inga Tsvetkova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Media Communications, and Daria Minaeva, Assistant, delivered a master class titled “Just Dance as a Tool for Enhancing Coordination Skills: Experience in Applying Modern Technologies in Physical Education.”

The participants included students of two academic programmes — “Adaptive Physical Education” and “Coach-Teacher.” The speakers introduced future specialists to the history of dance simulators and VR technologies, and discussed their effectiveness in developing coordination abilities and maintaining physical fitness.

During the practical part of the master class, students immersed themselves in virtual reality and completed tasks using a dance simulator.

The educational event was organised with the support of the “Union of Childcare and Supervision Specialists” as part of the lecture series of the Research Center of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Sports Technologies at MCU. The series aims to promote a healthy and high-quality lifestyle among citizens of various social and age groups.

The next event in the lecture series will be the master class “The Role of a Chemistry Teacher in the Modern World.”
