On July 3, the annual KLTMS FEST summer festival took place on the rooftop of the university’s main building at VDNH.
This year, the festival drew over 1,000 attendees, including prospective students and their parents, current students, alumni, and staff of Moscow City University (MCU).
As per tradition, the festival was organized by students with support from the university administration. This year, 34 MCU student organizations and the Student and Postgraduate Council hosted their own themed zones. Throughout the day, guests also enjoyed performances and lectures on the main stage from speakers, artists, and hosts affiliated with MCU.
As part of the festival, the “KLTMS | Recognition” awards ceremony honored individuals for their contributions to student life at MCU. Winners can be found via the link.
Visitors not only learned about student life at MCU but also took part in a variety of interactive activities. These included customizing tote bags, bandanas, and CDs; practicing calligraphy; exploring student archetypes in the “Curators’ Bunker” game; fortune-telling with books; learning first aid skills; playing tabletop and sports games; and exchanging items—from bracelets and stickers to phone cases and t-shirts.
Prospective students got a real feel for the university’s atmosphere, connected with student organizations, asked questions about academics and campus life, and even had the opportunity to submit their applications directly to the admissions office operating on-site during the festival.
