Professor Roger Säljö from Gothenburg University, Sweden, was invited by the Institute of System Projects to hold an open lecture on February 16.
Professor Säljö is a renowned educational psychologist teaching at the Department of Education, Communication and Learning of Gothenburg University. His research is focused upon socio-cultural perspective on human development and learning, he has authored such books as “Learning and Understanding” and “Learning and Discourse: Socio-cultural Perspective” and a great number of research articles. Professor Säljö has also contributed to writing the book “Vygotsky’s Theory in Early Childhood Education and Research” in collaboration with MCU Professor Nikolay Veraksa.
At MCU Professor Säljö presented a lecture titled “Vygotsky and Bakhtin in Western psychology”, which was quite engaging and thought-provoking for the audience.
