On 13 November 2023, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) has presented its latest report “Electronic Internationalisation: English-language Internet Resources of Russian Universities”, which includes the analysis of 69 Russian universities that are actively engaged in the development of Internet resources in foreign languages and have a clear strategy for further improvement. In the report, the experts share the results of analysing the problems with Internet resources and give recommendations on solving them and attracting more international students.
According to the results of the study, MCU entered the top 10 leaders of the rating, rising from 7th position to 6th position and scoring 78 points. The English-language version of the MCU website was first launched in 2018 to promote internationalisation of education, attract foreign applicants and foreign partner universities, and provide information to international students. Now the website provides a complete localised information portal of Moscow State Pedagogical University, taking into account the peculiarities of the English-speaking target audience.
In 2023, MCU continued to develop foreign-language versions of its website. In particular, sections dedicated to the university’s educational centres and platforms were created, educational programmes pages were redesigned, more than 140 news articles and announcements were published, and more than 155 pages of university employees were created.
MCU aims to develop foreign-language versions of the website further and create a website version in Spanish to facilitate access to information for students and researchers from Latin America. It will contain information on study programmes, admission conditions, scholarships, and accommodation. Information on the cultural and social life of the University will also be provided.
