MCU student won awards at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship

On December 27—28, 2021, Moscow hosted the Absolute Championship of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (ACBJJ) World Open Championship GI and NO-GI 2021.

The tournament welcomed the best jiu-jitsu athletes from Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Brazil, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, the U.A.E., the U.S., and the Vatican. More than 3 500 matches were held within the competition.

Tatiana Kiseleva, a fourth-year student in the Sports Training at the MCU’s Institute of Natural Sciences and Sports Technologies, won third place among blue and purple belts in the 50 kg category. Tatiana Kiseleva won the quarterfinals by default, lost the semifinal to an athlete from Kazakhstan with a score of 1:2, and defeated an Armenian athlete with a score of 8:4 in the bronze medal match.
