MCU is ranked among the world’s top universities

Quacquarelli Symonds Agency has published a new ranking of the best universities in the world. It includes more than one and a half thousand universities from 105 countries.

The first 500 also included Bauman Moscow State Technical University (298), Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (316), St. Petersburg State University (365), Kazan Federal University (401), HSE University (410), Tomsk State University (431), Novosibirsk State University (442), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (456) and Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (497).

Moscow City University became 45th in the ranking among other Russian universities.

QS has been ranking the best universities in the world since 2004. They evaluate universities based on six factors: academic reputation (40%), the ratio of teaching staff to students (20%), the citation index (20%), reputation among employers (10%), the proportion of foreign students (5%) and foreign teachers (5%).
