MCU signed a cooperation agreement with the Central China Normal University (CCNU), one of the leading educational institutions in China.
CCNU, founded in 1903, was originally established to train school teachers. It is now a university that produces scholars, doctors, civil servants, and trains business and political leaders. It is part of Project 211, which includes the best universities in China. The university conducts national research in the humanities and social sciences. It is one of the three most prestigious pedagogical universities in China. Besides, Central China Normal University implements educational programmes in many fields of study: pedagogy, psychology, economics, management, law, social sciences, foreign languages, physical education, fine arts, music, computer science, and others.
CCNU and MCU are both members of the Sino-Russian Teacher Education University Alliance. The signing of the agreement is an important step to start academic exchanges between universities, cooperation between institutes and development of joint programmes.
