At the invitation of the Moscow Suvorov Military College, students from MCU’s Institute of Secondary Vocational Education attended the International Kremlin Ball. Moscow City University was represented by 6 students from the Medvedkovo College academic building: Arina Goncharova, Polina Yezhova, Polina Popova, Daria Klyukina, Olesya Kostenkova, and Vladislav Lebedeva.
The event harkens back to the rich traditions of Russian history, celebrating the famous balls once held for students of military educational institutions. This year, over 2500 young participants from 35 countries, including Armenia, India, Peru, the UAE, and others, took part in the celebration.
The ball provided participants with opportunities to meet new people and explore the cultural diversity of the world. Guests danced traditional styles such as the polka, mazurka, pas de grace, polonaise, and gavotte – recreating the dances performed at balls 200 years ago.
