Open video lecture at Delhi University

On January 24, Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi, India, hosted an open video lecture by Timur Melnikov, Associate Professor at MCU Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Education. The lecture, titled “Analysis of Russian Universities’ Scientific and Educational International Cooperation (2012-2024),” was delivered to foreign students and teachers. The video lecture was held as part of the international scientific conference ‘Russian Language, Literature, Translation and Culture in the 21st Century: Reassessment and Prospects’.

Timur Melnikov examined the experiences of international cooperation between Russian and foreign universities from 2012 to 2024. He assessed the involvement of Russian universities in the Bologna Process, exploring its internal dynamics and how it is perceived in Russia. He pointed out both the advantages and disadvantages of Russian universities’ participation in the Bologna Process, as well as the factors leading to Russia’s withdrawal from it. During his lecture, he emphasized the current preference for ‘double diplomas’ as a form of inter-university collaboration compared to other cooperative models, and discussed the need to explore alternative methods for enhancing university partnerships, including potential strategies for effective financing and administrative support. He highlighted the significance of broader inter-university cooperation in a multipolar world and stressed the importance of genuine friendship and collaboration with a longstanding and dependable partner like India.
