We continue to tell you about the events of the VII Annual International Symposium “Education and the City: Designing Development”. Earlier we learnt about the sections to be held on the 1st day of the symposium. Today we propose to dwell on the events of the 2nd day.
10:00-11:30:
- Keynote session. The event with the participation of foreign experts will be conducted by Igor Shiyan, Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education of MCU, Head of the Laboratory of Child Development.
- Mini-symposium “New educational infrastructure and its impact on the urban landscape”. The event will be moderated by Elena Ivanova, Head of the Laboratory of Educational Infrastructures of the Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education of MCU. Presentations will be made by: Anna Hakobyan, Darya Javadova, Tatiana Mishchenko, Elena Aralova, Anastasia Korobskaya, Ramilya Pozdnysheva, Anna Ter-Grigoryan, Alexandra Yangurazova, Galina Vinokurova, Ekaterina Barsukova, Elena Ivanova.
11:45-13:15 – Keynote session “University and the City”. Moderator – Svetlana Vachkova, Director of the Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education of MCU. Elena Lebedeva, Elena Tareva, Natalia Kovaleva, Natalia Fedotova, Tatiana Momotova (Kolobashkina), Yanina Chigovskaya-Nazarova will make presentations.
11:45-13:45 – Round table “Development of personal potential in education: from kindergarten to high school”. How to create an educational environment in which conditions turn into opportunities for personal development of children and adults? The speakers of the round table will try to answer this question: Ekaterina Haustova, Tatiana Kulyutsina, Valentina Pletmintseva, Ekaterina Markina, Olga Kuznetsova, Oksana Omelchuk, Natalia Putintseva, Almazbek Kydyraliev. Moderator – Valeria Markova, Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Human Potential Development of the Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education of MCU.
14:00-15:30:
- Round table “Digital communication tools: assistants of the citizen in everyday life”. Moderator – Elena Nekhorosheva, Head of the Laboratory of Urban Health and Wellbeing of the Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education of MCU. Presentations will be made by: Sergey Bolshakov, Natalia Chekmayeva, Natalia Beklemesheva, Evgeny Popov, Alexander Belsky, Snezhana Voronina, Anastasia Mironova, Daria Kasatkina.
- Section “Language Education in a Modern International City”. Moderator – Professor Andrey Kolesnikov of the Institute of Foreign Languages of MCU. The discussion will be attended by MCU staff members: Valentina Vashkevicius, Inna Petrova, Irina Tivyaeva, Lyudmila Milovanova, Mikhail Prokofiev, Nadezhda Shalimova, Oksana Anisova, Tatiana Tolmacheva, Lyudmila Bankova, Veronika Nikitina, Natalia Chekmaeva, Alexandra Mozgunova, Inna Petrova.
- Seminar “SciencePop at the University – to be or not to be”. Seminar presenter Sulaka Savva, Head of the Department for Communications and Youth Policy, will talk about the practices of science popularisation at MCU.
16:00-17:30:
- Round table “Safe City: pedestrian routes and public transport”. The round table will be moderated by Ekaterina Barsukova, Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Educational Infrastructures of the Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education of MCU. Presentations will be made by: Peter Ivanov, Anton Agapov-Strizhakov, Elizaveta Mayakova, Oleg Zverev.
- Round table “Semiotics of Urban Space in Cross-Cultural Perspective”. The round table will be moderated by Professor Olga Suleimanova and Deputy Director of the Institute of Foreign Language Irina Tivyaeva. The speakers will be: Vladimir Lepilov, Angelina Sokolova, Marina Fomina, Natalia Chekmaeva, Albina Vodyanitskaya, Vera Kozina, Arina Chernyshova.
- Section “Spaces of Education”. The event will be moderated by Alexey Obukhov, Associate Professor at the Institute of Education, National Research University Higher School of Economics. The following people will take part in the discussion: Oksana Malykh, Victoria Pichugina, Zinaida Lurie, Natalia Zakharova, Alesya Nugaeva, Svetlana Kobachevskaya.
16:00-18:00 – Round table “Theatre of citizens and lifelong learning”. Moderator – Ekaterina Asonova, Head of the Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Educational Practices of the Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education of MCU. Participants – Polina Shatokhina, Natalia Kalinnikova, Alexandra Nikitina, Anastasia Rossinskaya, Svetlana Barycheva, Maria Zhavoronkova.
