As part of the intensification of cooperation between Russia and India, representatives of MCU Daria Milyaeva (International Relations Department), Anastasia Belolutskaya and Natalia Ageeva (Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education) presented their reports at the Partap IPDA International Conference 2024  “Navigating Change: Professional Learning in a Rapidly Changing World” at the Partap College of Education (Ludhiana, India). MCU representatives showed the results of the research on professional trajectories and career development of the novice teachers in Russia, as well as the best practices of teacher professional development in the Asia-Pacific region, which were included in a collections of English publications released as part of the conference. The event was attended by rectors and representatives of universities, colleges and schools in India. The conference garnered media attention, resulting in the publication of articles in various print and online newspapers.

During the conference, the main trends and challenges in teacher training in India and Russia were discussed, and as a result of negotiations with Professor Balwant Singh, the Principal of the Partap College of Education, an agreement was reached to conduct a comparative study on professional trajectories and career development of young teachers in Russia and India.

Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University and Kazan Federal University also represented Russia at this conference. Both universities expressed interest in participating in an expanded study on the careers of schoolteachers in India and Russia, and to include the regions represented in the sample for Russia.

An international team of researchers from Russia and the Partap College of Education plan to develop international comparative studies in the field of education, prepare international publications and participate in conferences.
