Department of Mathematics and Physics
Mathematics and physics play a significant role in science, culture and social life. They ensure the world’s scientific and technological progress. That’s why, these scientific fields are crucial for modern education. Both mathematical knowledge and intellectual qualities, which the learning of mathematics develops, are essential for almost every single area of human activity. With the modern progress characterised by the full-scale implementation of IT-technologies and its success depending on the understanding of the physics of the related processes, the role of physics becomes prominent in modern education. All this leads to the necessity of instructing competitive teachers of mathematics and physics, who will be adapted to modern conditions. This is the basic objective of the Department of Mathematics and Physics.
