On August 17, MCU received a delegation from Anhui University, China, headed by Ms Zhao Huaijuan and accompanied by MCU colleagues from Minin University, Nizhny Novgorod. The visit was arranged in terms of promoting cooperation between the Russian Teachers’ Training universities and the Chinese universities located at the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze river.
The guests were welcomed at one of the MCU historic buildings by MCU Rector Igor Remorenko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dmitry Agranat, Professor at the Chinese Language Department Vladilen Burov and Head of the International Relations Department Daria Milyaeva.
As a welcome word, Igor Remorenko shared with the guests some highlights of MCU history and showed a video presenting MCU in Chinese.
The three sides discussed mutual cooperation interests, including education and research. Special emphasis was placed upon the Mathematics educational programs and Lev Vygotsky’s theory.
At the end of the meeting the guests were presented with MCU branded souvenirs.
After visiting MCU, the Anhui delegation will travel to Nizhny Novgorod to pay a call on its partner Minin University.
