Urban Agenda and Media: A Student Perspective

On April 17, 2026, from 16:30 to 18:00, as part of the IX International Symposium “Education and City: People and Institutions”, a roundtable “Media and the City” will be held in a hybrid format.

The discussion will focus on the relationship between urban spaces and media, as well as the role of student youth in shaping the information environment. Participants will explore how media influence the urban agenda while also being shaped by it, what expectations and demands the city places on the media environment, and the role students play as active participants in these communication processes.

The session will be moderated by Svetlana Chernenkaya, Deputy Head of Department, Professor at the Institute of Humanities, MCU. Students from MCU and Moscow Polytechnic University, as well as media and urban communication experts, will take part in the discussion.

The event will take place in a hybrid format. In-person venue: 8 Sadovaya-Samotechnaya St.
