MCU received the MSU-BIT delegation

On July 25, 2025 Moscow City University held a meeting with a delegation from MSU-BIT. During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the educational, scientific and cultural fields.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice-Rector Evgeny Silyanov highlighted the significance of MSU-BIT’s achievements and expressed gratitude to the guests for their warm welcome this May. He then introduced MCU, talked about the Institute of Foreign Languages, and the work of the Chinese Language Department, emphasising the importance of language exchange between universities.

Chen Chaofeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Shenzhen MSU-BIT, expressed gratitude to Igor Remorenko, Rector of Moscow City University, for a meaningful lecture in May and highlighted common areas for cooperation in the field of culture, as well as economics and management.

Yu Fuwen, CEO of Beijing Chongxue Culture Co., Ltd, shared his love for Russian music and thanked for the warm welcome. He also donated Xi Jinping’s works to Moscow City University and invited colleagues to Beijing.

Vice-Rector Evgeny Silyanov thanked his colleagues from China for the valuable gift, noting that the books would help expand the knowledge of the students of the Institute of Foreign Languages and Institute of Economics, Management and Law.

Wang Wei, Head of the Chinese Language Center, spoke about Chinese language training programmes and suggested discussing the possibilities of student and teacher exchanges, joint scientific research and cultural events such as International Chinese Language Day. She also invited colleagues from Moscow City University to participate in the International Conference on Teaching Foreign Languages next year and expressed hope for cooperation.

Tatiana Bokova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages, in turn, suggested establishing a partnership for learning Russian. She noted that Chinese students at the university not only study the language but also immerse themselves in Russian culture. Tatiana Bokova invited the delegation from MSU-BIT to visit MCU during regular classes to see how learning takes place in reality.

Daria Milyaeva, Head of the International Relations Department, invited colleagues from MSU-BIT to a conference on Oriental languages, which will be held in April 2026.

The meeting was held in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, confirming the shared interest in further developing the partnership between our two universities. The parties agreed on several steps to enhance academic and cultural exchanges between the institutions.
