Innovative 3D printers at MCU

Moscow City University will be equipped with 3D printers that are ahead of their international counterparts. The MCU’s Department for Strategic Development and PICASO 3D company have reached an agreement on the development of a large-scale cooperation.

The MCU’s Department for Strategic Development is actively working on the development of an online course on 3D modelling and 3D printing. This course will aim to train teaching staff and school students.

The Educational Center STEAM Park at the MCU’s Institute of Digital Education is planning to open a Center of Competence in 3D Modelling and Additive Technology. At the center, students will be provided an opportunity to master STEAM approaches to learning through innovative technologies. Teaching staff and school students will participate in open workshops.

Within the promising cooperation, PICASO 3D is ready to supply MCU with new printers for free-of-charge use.

PICASO 3D is the first Russian producer of personal 3D printers, which are ahead of their international counterparts. The company is the leader in the production of devices for personal 3D printing in Russia. Currently, research in additive technology is being performed to put audacious ideas into action.
