On December 23, an Evening celebration of Russian-Chinese Friendship was held at the Institute of Foreign Languages in the building on Poltavskaya, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China. This event was part of the activities of the IFL project — the literary-musical club workshop “Book of Songs.”
Russian students studying Chinese at the Institute of Foreign Languages and Chinese students pursuing music education at the Institute of Culture and Arts of MCU performed arias from operas, operettas, rock operas, and musicals, as well as songs from the Soviet stage and contemporary songs popular in Russia and China. There were also poetic and dance performances. A highlight of the evening was the performance of students from the School named after Marshal Chuikov, led by their teacher — a graduate of the Chinese Language Department at IFL of MCU— Leila Khybyrtova.
The concert was organized by Maria Smolova, an associate professor at the Department of Chinese Language at IFL of MCU.
