Audacious Education Purposes – one of the top requested new books on education

In 2020, Springer, a global scientific publisher, issued an important international comparative study Audacious Education Purposes: How Governments Transform the Goals of Education Systems under the editorship of Professor Fernando M. Reimers, Harvard University. The book analyzes education reforms in Brazil, Finland, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Portugal and Russia with one of the chapters written by MCU Rector Igor Remorenko and Head of HSE Institute of Education Isak Froumin. The chapter is dedicated to the transition from the knowledge-based education system of the Soviet Union to the competence-based approach in the school education of contemporary Russia.

The Springer statistics of open access ebooks shows that Audacious Education Purposes enjoys very high popularity. Published in spring 2020, it has already been downloaded more than 80,000 times by users aroung the world and received about 200 mentions in social networks.
