The Institute of Foreign Languages invites you to take part in the 1st International Forum “Languages and Cultures of East Asia in the Educational Space”, which will be held on March 13-16, 2024.
The forum welcomes researchers specialising in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese languages and cultures, as well as specialists involved in the development of teaching strategies and technologies for these languages at different levels of education.
The aim of the forum is to facilitate collaboration and exchange of knowledge between Russian orientalists, university professors, and young researchers interested in the study and development of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese languages and cultures.
The main focus areas of the forum include:
- Topical issues of Chinese, Korean and Japanese language research: theoretical and applied aspects
- Problems of Oriental Linguodidactics in the modern paradigm of public relations
- Modern Oriental Studies: scientific status and development prospects
- Theoretical and practical studies of Chinese, Korean and Japanese cultures
The forum will be conducted in Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean.

On March 16, 2024, a student conference will be held within the framework of the forum.
Researchers specialising in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese languages and cultures are invited to participate in the forum and specifically in the student conference.
The student conference will cover various areas:
- Literature
- Culture and art
- History
- International relations
- Economics and politics
- Linguistics and intercultural communication
- Linguistic Didactics
The conference will be conducted in a mixed format (online and live). Online participation is allowed for nonresident students.
Registration for the student conference is open until February 18th (Sunday), and interested participants can register through the link.
To participate, applicants must submit an application, including an abstract of their speech and a signed review from their supervisor.
It should be noted that the abstracts should be directly inserted into the appropriate field when submitting the application and should not exceed 1800 characters, including spaces. The format of the abstracts does not require the inclusion of links, but if necessary, authors can include them following the requirements of GOST. Any footnotes should be placed at the end of the text. The signed review from the supervisor can be attached as a scanned file or photo.
The forum will include plenary lectures and reports, scientific reports in thematic sections, workshops, round tables, and a number of student scientific events.
