William Douglas Edgington, Professor at Sam Houston State University, will give a presentation “Philosophy and Pedagogy Guiding Teacher Preparation in Texas, the United States” within the 2nd Annual International Symposium “Education and City: Participation Practices” to be held from 16 to 18 May 2019.
The speaker will focus on the importance of experience exchange between educators all over the world. First, it enables one assembly to reflect on the practices and effectiveness of their own system and make decisions, both in policy making and in pedagogy, to enhance their educational praxis. Second, participation in global colloquy provides opportunity to transcend ethnocentrism and assist colleagues in their assessment of their own systems. William Douglas Edgington will share his experience and tell about the paths to becoming a licensed teacher in the state of Texas, in the United States.
