On November 21, MCU Institute of Digital Education will host a webinar on the immersive technology. The presentation will be held by Candidate of Pedagogy Alexander Grinshkun, Associate Professor of the Russian Academy of Education.
He will unwrap the technology’s past, present, and future. The concept of the reality-virtuality continuum will be clarified as well as the essence of the technology, for instance, the difference between augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR). The host will reveal the present-day situation in the development of the technology: what hard- and software have been invented for the technology, what skills and knowledge are necessary to use the technology and to develop it, and what spheres successfully implement it. Possible prospects of the technology will also be introduced during the discussion.
