In September, 2021, third-year students of the Institute of Foreign Languages met the graduates of the bachelor’s and master’s programs at the Department of French Language and Linguistic Didactics.
Last year Svetlana Mikhailova, Interim Head of the Department of French Language and Linguistic Didactics, Ilya Maksimkin, Assistant of the Department of French Language and Linguistic Didactics and sophomore students started working on the project “Constellation of graduates”. It is a website, which combines information about the career of the graduates, and their impressions or memories of studying at the Institute.
The beginning of the new academic year served as a starting point for the further development of the project: now graduates have come to visit students and lecturers. Daria Lobanova, Alexandra Ovcharenko, Anastasia Bobokha, Marina Zheleznova, Maria Kirsanova talked about their professional growth — working at Moscow schools and kindergartens, as well as at the MCU’s Institute of Foreign Languages. They also shared their experience of studying and working in France and about participating in the international program of the French Ministry of Education “Assistant of the Russian language in French schools”.
Students asked a lot of questions and learned about how difficult it is to find a job, how important it is to appreciate every piece of experience gained, how it is possible to combine study and work, why a Francophone student needs an advanced training course of “Teaching Russian as a foreign language”.
Our alumni offered current students pieces of advice on how to study consciously, how to trust lecturers, and also invited to join the “Constellation of graduates”.
