The network programme is a contribution to strengthening Russia’s human resource and technological sovereignty, starting with the improvement of the training process for future engineers.
At the core of the programme lies the integration of MCU’s pedagogical expertise with the current challenges faced by the engineering university. At the first introductory meeting, experts from the two universities conducted an audit of the needs and gaps of the faculty in the field of pedagogical technologies and methodologies, identified growth opportunities, and outlined a development trajectory for creating effective teaching solutions.
“Our common goal is not merely the transfer of knowledge, but the formation of competencies among faculty members so that they, in turn, develop in students engineering thinking, innovative abilities, and a sense of responsibility for the country’s most complex infrastructure projects. It is precisely this synthesis of deep industry knowledge and modern didactics that forms the basis for training in-demand specialists,” the programme’s authors emphasize.
Key experts of the programme:
-
Marina Shalashova, Doctor of Pedagogy, Director of the Institute of Lifelong Education, MCU;
-
Mikhail Klarin, Doctor of Pedagogy, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Scientific Director of the Center for Didactics of Vocational Education, MCU;
-
Daria Vyunova, Candidate of Sciences (PhD) in Pedagogy, Head of the Center for Didactics of Vocational Education, MCU;
-
Natalia Sheveleva, Candidate of Sciences (PhD) in Pedagogy, Head of the Department of Pedagogical Technologies, Institute of Lifelong Education, MCU;
-
Elena Klepikova, Specialist in Educational and Methodological Work, Resource Training and Methodological Center, RUT (MIIT).
The cooperation agreement aimed at improving the quality of engineering training and achieving the country’s technological leadership was signed between MCU and the Russian University of Transport (RUT) within the framework of the Priority-2030 Strategic Academic Leadership Programme on December 27, 2024.
The Russian University of Transport (RUT (MIIT)) is the national leader in training personnel for the transport and logistics sector. The new pedagogical practices implemented by its faculty will be multiplied many times over and will have a direct impact on the quality of training for thousands of students, shaping the future of Russia’s transport industry.
