About MCU Rector
Igor Remorenko has been Rector of Moscow City University since 2013. The academic credentials of Igor Remorenko include the Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Education Sciences, Associate Professor, Honorary Worker of General Education. Igor Remorenko holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership obtained at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Igor Remorenko is 2nd Class Full State Councilor of the Russian Federation.
In 2009–2011, Igor Remorenko worked as Head of the Department of State Policy and Legal Regulation in Education, the Department of State Policy in Education, and the Department of Strategic Development at the Ministry of Education and Science. He coordinated the Priority National Project “Education” and the program aimed at supporting innovative development in universities. From 2011 to 2013, Igor Remorenko was Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
Igor Remorenko is the author of dozens of articles, four monographs, and participates in research on Education Policy and Educational Leadership.
