April 17, 2026, as part of the IX International Symposium “Education and the City: People and Institutions”, a mini-symposium entitled “Education in the Rhythm of the City” will be held in a hybrid format. Moderators — Ksenia Kikteva and Anastasia Rossinskaya, researchers at the Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Educational Practices, Institute for Urban Studies and Global Education, Moscow City University.

  • Anna Rudakova, Educational Psychologist at Municipal Preschool Educational Institution No. 61 “Medvezhy Stan” (“Developing Cognitive Activity in Preschool Children by Incorporating Elements of Educational Urban Studies into the Pedagogical Process“). She will demonstrate how integrating the city into the educational process through walks, projects, and the modelling of real-life situations stimulates cognitive activity in preschool children.

She will examine the resources of the urban environment as a foundation for developing social and communicative experience and readiness to engage in architectural activity.
