In October 2021, the MCU Museum presented an exhibition dedicated to the World Teacher’s Day. The specialists of the MCU Museum spoke about the history of the holiday, school traditions of the Soviet times, and showed authentic documents of the bygone era.
The specialists of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Education presented research and educational materials and genuine awards of N.N. Svetlovskaya (1931−2021), Professor, Doctor of Education Sciences. Anna Lvova is her talented student and MCU alumni. She graduated from bachelor’s and master’s programs, obtained a Ph.D. degree and an Associate Professor title at her alma mater. Anna Lvova is Deputy Director for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Education. An active administrative and teaching career did not prevent her from writing and successfully defending a higher doctorate thesis.
Many MCU alumni who have obtained a PhD degree are members of our faculty – Roman Komarov, Marina Nabokina, Maria Nozdracheva, Alexey Zaslavsky, Yulia Afanasieva, etc. Another MCU alumni, Anton Molev works in the Moscow Department of Education and Science, while Iliya Bronstein, an alumnus of the MCU’s Institute of Humanities, is appointed Minister of Education of the Moscow Region.
