On October 24th, the Russian Academy of Education held a general meeting of the RAE members, during which the elections of the Academy members took place. As a result of the voting, Alexander Savenkov, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Education at Moscow City University, was elected a member of the Russian Academy of Education.
Alexander Savenkov is a doctor of psychological and pedagogical sciences, professor. He is one of the leading specialists in the country in the field of diagnostics and development of children’s giftedness, education of gifted children, and psychology of exploratory learning. The professor is the creator of the scientific school ‘Psychology of giftedness and creativity’. His scientific and methodological developments are widely used in domestic educational practice: teachers and child psychologists in all regions of Russia use Alexander Savenkov’s methods. In 2016, he was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Education.
