Moscow City University, together with its partners, is initiating an open scientific and practical conference titled “A Person of the New World: Environmental Culture in Kindergarten and School — Today and Tomorrow.”
The conference is held in collaboration with the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization for Additional Professional Education Social and Environmental Initiative, the Interregional Montessori Association, the interregional environmental NGO ECA Movement, the informal community of adults and children supporting the preservation of protected natural areas and cultural heritage Friends of Protected Islands, the Variant Development Center for Children and Adolescents, and Oasis International University.
The conference aims to unite educators, parents, children, and experts in fostering environmental culture and promoting the ideas of sustainable development in society. The event will serve as a platform for open dialogue on environmental education for the younger generation.
The conference program is divided into:

Methodological tracks: mentoring, greening of school subjects, outdoor learning, eco-volunteering, environmental education, eco-leadership;

Practical tracks: projects, eco-lifestyle, eco-creativity, eco-volunteering.
The on-site program on January 31 will include plenary sessions, discussions, and hands-on workshops held in the modern laboratories of Moscow City University (Assembly Hall of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Sports Technologies, 1 Chechulina St.).
A separate international session, to be held online on February 4, will be organized jointly with Oasis University (India) and will give participants the opportunity to present their projects at the international level.

Participation is free of charge. All participants will receive electronic certificates. Following the conference, a free collection of methodological materials is planned. Academic papers will be recommended for publication in the proceedings of the IV Open City Scientific and Practical Conference “Natural Heritage and Biodiversity of Moscow as Part of the Historical, Cultural, and Urban Potential of the Metropolis,” with indexing in RSCI.
