Humanism and Directions of Civilization Development

On June 1—3, Moscow City University will hold the international scientific forum Humanism and Directions of Civilization Development together with Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod, Sichuan International Studies University, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, and Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod.

The Forum will be dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Umberto Eco, a writer, philosopher, and humanist, and will discuss a wide range of topics in the humanities.

The Forum will feature the following events:

  • Open lectures, seminars, practicums (June 1—3);
  • Plenary session and discussion platform The Heritage of Umberto Eco for Contemporaries and Descendents (June 1);
  • International Research and Practice Conference Human in the Space of Humanistic Worldview (June 2);
  • International Cross-Disciplinary Roundtable Session Humanistic Fundamentals of Sports and the Olympic Movement (June 2);
  • All-Russian Research and Practice Conference of Emerging Researchers Humanism in the Life Space of Contemporary Youth (June 3);
  • Closing ceremony (June 3).

The organizers of the Forum invite scholars, educators, doctoral students, adjunct professors, students, as well as representatives of business, social and governmental bodies, to participate in the events of the Forum.

Languages of the Forum: Russian, English.
