In 2021, Ella Alibekova, a graduate of Moscow City University, was assigned interim Minister of Education in the Republic of North Ossetia—Alania.
Ella has made an impressive professional path in education. She received a degree in Economics and Information Science and worked as a teacher, deputy principal, and principal in schools of Moscow and the Republic of North Ossetia—Alania. In 2015, she was enrolled in the Master’s program Education Policy at the MCU’s Directorate of Educational Programmes and successfully graduated in 2017.
Olga Ustyugova, curator of the Education Policy program, commented on Ella’s professional path:
Ella is very hard-working, active, and ambitious. In her Master’s thesis, Ella studied a project-based approach in the management of educational institutions. She had set a goal to create a project team out of the staff of school 1570 where she worked and achieved it. Ella has brought together and developed an outstanding young team, open to the new and challenging. The team have been engaged in self-learning, arranged and held online seminars on distance learning for teachers from Moscow and other cities, participated in teachers’ meetings and workshops.
