Claudio Facchinelli to present a report at the 2nd International Symposium

Theater critic Claudio Facchinelli will give a presentation on “Project creative activity at the Italian school theatre: fundamental frameworks” within the 2nd Annual International Symposium “Education and City: Participation Practices”, to be held from 16 to 18 May 2019.

Claudio Facchinelli (Italy, Milan), the Vice President of the Italian drama association for promoting drama in schools and society “Agita” will talk about the relationship between project activities and theatrical productions, theater features, filling the child’s need for ritualization of life, as well as non-verbal forms of theatrical activities as a special tool of socialization. The report will also consider the relationship between creativity and perception, as well as the problem of choosing material for theatrical work with children at a school lesson and in the theater.

In addition to the theatrical activities Claudio Facchinelli’s articles related to the theater and affecting social aspects are actively published in magazines and websites. He translated and wrote materials about the theater in the school (Come a teatro: Ghisetti e Corvi, 2002; Dramatopedia: Edizioni Corsare, 2011). Also Claudio Facinelli is the author of the story “Goodbye, Nina!”, dedicated to the Anna (Nina) Slutskaya’s fate.
