Psychological Support of Differently Abled Children

The Program trains specialists capable of providing psychological assistance to children with disabilities at all stages of mental development – from birth to professional education and employment. As a result of the Program, the master are able to:

  • carry out psychological and pedagogical diagnosis and correctional and developmental work;
  • carry out psychological prevention of deviations in children’s behavior;
  • employ modern psychocorrectional and psychotherapeutic approaches — art therapy, fairy-tale therapy;
  • create conditions for social adaptation of various categories of children with disabilities;
  • advise children and their parents to improve the psychological climate in the family;
  • conduct research;
  • teach psychological subjects at colleges and universities.
