Students of the Institute of Foreign Languages took part in a campaign to gather food for homeless animals

The semester has not started yet, but the students of the Institute of Foreign Languages took part in the annual ‘Kindness Cart’ organised by the charity foundation ‘Kotodetki’ for the third time. The campaign involves collecting food for homeless animals and aims to provide enough food for the fluffy residents under their care.

Gathering points were set up in specially allocated places in the city, where anyone could bring dry and wet food, leashes and harnesses, bedding, nappies, clothes and toys for animals. Representatives of the Foundation worked at the collection points together with our students, actively helping them.

After working at the donation points, our students went to the warehouse, where they helped volunteers pack the gathered food and get it ready to be sent to the shelters.

‘February 8, I took part in the volunteer action of the ‘Kotodetki’ Foundation ‘Kindness Cart’. The activists of the charity are bright, positive and kind people who energise you with their desire to help little pigtails. It was pleasant to get into this environment, getting acquainted with the organisers of the action. I saw photos of the shelter’s wards and even received a calendar with a charming kitty, which, thanks to the efforts of caring volunteers, will now be fed and healthy!’.

‘Participating in the “Wagon of Kindness” campaign has been a very pleasant experience for me. I have never participated in charity events before, and this was a real discovery for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun and useful time can be spent helping others. At the Kindness Wagon, people come together to support homeless animals and everyone can contribute, whether it’s collecting food ( AKA medicine, collars, etc) at the donation stations or helping with the sorting at the depot. It’s a great opportunity to do something good and feel united with other participants’.
